We took the ferry from Alameda to SF. The kids thought that was pretty neat!
Of course the first thing we had to see were the piers.
Pier 39 is famous for the sea lions that make their home in the harbor. It is also great for shopping, street performers, dining, going to an aquarium, riding a carousel, and enjoying a 4D ride. We didn't do all these things.

After the candy shop we made our way through the madness of the crowded streets until we reached a relatively quiet park. There was a homeless guy taking a nap and minding his own business. Do you see Dynomite in the picture? Yep, she could really care less. Yaya must have snapped this pictures while I was on my way over to get her.

By this time we were hungry and had to figure out how to get home since the nearest ferry we needed to catch was leaving port for the last time that night in less than an hour. Do we eat a nice dinner and walk far to catch another ferry OR eat at home to catch the ferry we needed? Nice dinner won out, plus we need some exercise.On our way we spotted this sign:
Non-Alcoholic Kid's Wine tasting?!?! Why not start them early!We ate the Blue Mermaid Chowder house. Personally I don't go out of my way to eat chowder, but it was to die for! It was the Dungeness Crab and Corn Chowder. We also saw Richard Lewis!

The kids had their meals served in a bucket, complete with a sand shovel. Best part was that they got to take it home. TIP: Always tell the waitress to bring out the kids food as soon as it is done so they can start eating right away. And also I always bring bendy straws for them drink out of, less spills!
SF would not be complete with out street performers. Yaya's favorite is a guy that hides behind a fake bush and scares people. I always like the statues that are really people. Here are a few other examples:
We had a great time, even if we had to walk forever away to catch our returning ferry. Its a fun place to visit, but the crowds I can live without. San Fransisco filled with life that promises to entertain!
