Happy New Year!

After the Harlem Globetrotters we hung around the house. We decided to lay the kids down at their normal time. Yaya had bought us some poppers (really they were for Dad from the kids for Christmas). Trouble like the poppers: Dynomite didn't quite get it, despite her blog name:
Backpack could care less:
I atleast thought it was fun:
Travis was the picture taker, in case you were wondering where he was. After the kids went to sleep we played our new game Killer Bunnies. 5 minutes before midnight we flipped on the TV, watched the ball drop then continued with our game. Does anyone else think Dick Clark looks the same now as he did when we were kids??
Every year we pull out our goals journal. Each page is dedicated to one year. On the front of the page are the family goals, on the back are individual goals. This is the 6th year we've used this method. The first few pages are the long-term family goals, i.e. live on the moon.
For 2010
Family:
1. Visit to Nauvoo, Illinois
2. Go to Tubbs Family Reunion in Idaho
3. Keep doing Family Home Evenings (we've done pretty good this year)
4. Go camping and fishing 3 times
5. Be better with our budget
Trouble:
1. Learn to swim
2. Use a handsaw
3. Read 24 words
4. Ride a bike
Dynomite:
1. Dance lessons
2. Enjoy swimming
3. Learn the Alphabet
Denay:
1. Blog at least 4 times a week
2. Write for Examiner.com once a week
3. Keep a healthy weight
4. Organize pictures
Travis:
1. Concentrate on school
2. Finish SOS
3. Get Orders

If we were better parents we'd actually care about Backpack...just kidding! We figured that what we really want Backpack to do is be the President ever, but we wouldn't really let on to that until next year. I guess we'll just have to let him be a kid for a few more years!
