A few weeks ago our friend Kelly brought us one of her baby chinchillas. What is a chinchilla, you say? It is from the rodent family and found mainly in the Andes Mountains. They are the size of a guinea pig, but super soft. They bathe is special dust and eat rabbit type food. We've had chinchillas before and liked them. We can let him out and he run and plays. He doesn't run and hide like other rodents. He also doesn't bite. His name is Rocky. Dynomite loves him!! She takes to him and squeals every morning she sees him. He's easy maintenance. The only thing I really have to watch out for is the kiddos like to let him out of his cage!!

We always stop and look at those at the pet store. They are so cute and soft. If there wasn't a "no new pets" ban at my house, I'd be tempted by those fluffy cute little things. It's like having your own pygmy puff.
